Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, is seeking an Intermediate Network Systems Administrator to design, implement and support Linux-based network systems.

The role requires 2+ years of network systems administration experience, scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell or JavaScript), and the ability to work with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience with Network Systems Administration in a Linux environment.
• Experience with installation, updates and monitoring of Linux based network systems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell or JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on objectives and project guidelines.
• Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
• Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.
