Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an experienced engineer to optimize daily operations of U.S. Gas Transmission and Midstream assets. You will forecast capacities, evaluate configurations, plan outages, and assess opportunities while balancing efficiency, reliability, and customer needs.

The role requires 2+ years in oil & gas pipeline work and a relevant engineering degree. You will collaborate across teams, analyze data, and communicate results to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of oil & gas pipeline experience with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong understanding of natural gas pipeline systems and gas flow while upholding Enbridge values.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple states and teams with strong compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Apply hydraulic models and engineering tools to forecast daily pipeline capacities across US gas systems.
• Monitor capacities and outages, optimizing outage scheduling to reduce customer impact.
• Analyze operating parameters to optimize gas flow and support outages while ensuring safe, achievable capacity levels.
• Communicate modeling results through reports, presentations, and recommendations for decision-making.
• Support asset optimization, capital project development, and operational enhancement initiatives.
• Assist with storage expansion, debottlenecking, budgeting, coordination, and project execution to improve system flexibility.

In this role, you'll apply your technical knowledge and oil and gas experience to help optimize the daily operation of Enbridge's U.S. Gas Transmission and Midstream assets. What you will do:

• Apply hydraulic models and engineering tools to determine, forecast, and post daily pipeline capacities across assigned U.S. gas systems.
• Monitor and reassess capacities as outage plans change, finding opportunities to reduce customer impact through optimized outage scheduling.
• Analyze operating parameters to optimize gas flow, support outages, and ensure safe, achievable capacity levels.
• Communicate modeling results through clear reports, presentations, and recommendations that support business decision-making.
• Support asset optimization strategies, capital project development, and operational enhancement initiatives.
• Assist with storage expansion, debottlenecking, budgeting, coordination, and project execution to improve system flexibility and performance.

Who you are:

You have:

• 2+ years of oil & gas pipeline experience along with a bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, petroleum, or chemical engineering
• A general understanding of natural gas pipeline systems & gas flow while upholding Enbridge's core values of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion and high performance along with our ways of working with compliance procedures and processes across multiple states for combustion equipment

• Experience with gas pipeline hydraulic simulation & ready to learn more
• Experience with Gas Control and Gas Pipeline & Storage Operations
• Understanding of pipeline and storage commercial operations and energy markets
• Knowledge of SCADA systems
• Knowledge of Enbridge's Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) assets
• Working knowledge of Gregg Engineering modeling software
• Professional Engineering designation

Salary:

Ranges from $85,000-$105,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
