Job summary

Jobtailor in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled frontend engineer to design and build features for our customer-facing web app. You will own components from spec through deployment, collaborating with product and analytics to deliver scalable experiences.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of JS/React experience, strong communication, and hands-on Next.js and data integration work. This on-site role offers a collaborative engineering culture and opportunities to influence the tech stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript development.
• Deep, demonstrable command of JavaScript.
• Production‑level React experience, including hooks, state management, component architecture, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with Git workflows including branching strategies, pull request reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of effective cross‑functional collaboration and technical leadership.
• Ability to work fully on‑site at our San Diego headquarters five days per week.
• Experience with Next.js or other server‑side rendering frameworks in a production environment.
• Hands‑on experience integrating with CRM, marketing automation, or customer data platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment).
• Practical experience with tag management systems (e.g. Google Tag Manager, Tealium) and data layer design.
• Familiarity with digital analytics tools and marketing data pipelines, including A/B testing and conversion tracking.
