We are pleased to announce the opening for an Intermediate Infrastructure Support Engineer who will join our Mission Engineering team at the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) / On-site and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for facility and mission infrastructure sustainment, asset management, and engineering verification and validation.

Responsibilities
  • Support criticality assessments of facility infrastructure assets by collecting technical data, applying established assessment criteria, and documenting results used to prioritize maintenance, upgrades, and security activities based on mission impact.
  • Assist with asset lifecycle and obsolescence analysis by maintaining asset information, researching equipment status, identifying potential lifecycle concerns, and documenting physical vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze infrastructure and asset data to support efficient resource allocation, system reliability, and resilience.
  • Provide analytical and technical support to Facility Systems Engineers and facility leadership in sustaining and modernizing high-value infrastructure.
  • Support asset identification and asset management activities, including physical inventories, asset verification, data reconciliation, and maintenance of accurate infrastructure records.
  • Assist with obsolescence assessments in coordination with senior engineers, Project Management, the O&M Contractor, and mission partners to identify and document risks associated with aging infrastructure.
  • Support maintenance and updates to MDIOC Systems Engineering (SE) processes and associated documentation to incorporate Government-approved changes.
    • Compile information and assist MDIOC Facility Systems Engineers with documenting required SE process updates resulting from Infrastructure Support Engineering process changes.
  • Apply established engineering principles and best practices to investigate infrastructure issues, participate in site surveys, support design reviews, and develop recommended solutions for review by senior engineers.
  • Support MDIOC Facility System sustainment and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including preparation of test plans and procedures, resource coordination, test execution, data collection, and documentation of results.
    • Assist in developing test procedures and preparing supporting documentation for V&V activities.
    • Execute approved test procedures, collect and analyze test data, document anomalies and findings, and contribute to comprehensive test reports.
  • Maintain engineering activity tracking tools and dashboards and support the preparation and distribution of weekly engineering activity reports.
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering activities to identify future infrastructure and mission needs.
  • Coordinate with senior Infrastructure Support Engineers, Facility Systems Engineers, Configuration Management personnel, Project Management, the O&M Contractor, and mission partners to support infrastructure sustainment and modernization activities.
Basic Qualifications
  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
  • You will need at least 3 years of full-time professional experience.
  • You must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Lacking any one of these disqualifies you from this job.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience driving organizational change management and challenging established norms to implement new technical initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, stand up, and execute new engineering governance structures from inception rather than only maintaining legacy processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, facilities management, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in asset identification and management, including physical inventories and lifecycle analyses.
  • Experience performing obsolescence assessments and developing modernization strategies for aging infrastructure in a Government, defense, or high-tempo operational environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Engineering, Sustainment, Verification & Validation (ESV&V) processes, including test plan development and execution.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, tracking dashboards, and briefings for leadership or Government customers.
  • Strong analytical skills supporting criticality assessments and physical vulnerability evaluation.
