LAPORTE in Rochester, NY is seeking a control-systems engineer to join a hybrid, full-time team. You will develop coordinated control-panel packages, create layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O schedules for pharma and food & beverage facilities.

You will collaborate with process, mechanical and electrical engineers, prepare bid packages, and provide PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and commissioning support. NEC and UL 508A compliance is part of the role, with travel 20-40%.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–6 years of control-systems experience in manufacturing or consulting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for control-panel design.
• Experience with control-panel and industrial-network design.
• Hands-on with Rockwell Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
• Ability to survey existing systems and coordinate with clients and vendors.

Aufgaben

• Develop coordinated panel and field-installation packages with layouts and wiring details.
• Design industrial-network topology and connections; interface with interfaces and bid packages.
• Survey existing installations and document field conditions for as-built docs.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers; prepare bid information.
• Complete drawings and specs within project scope; address review comments.
• Provide PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and commissioning support.
• Apply NEC and UL 508A codes as applicable.
