BELFOR USA Group, Inc in Troy, MI is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to support reconstruction efforts for clients. You will assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and help run projects autonomously while mentoring basic carpenters.

This role requires extensive carpentry experience, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed; training in shrink wrap and various construction tasks is provided.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems with the project and timely request additional guidance and assistance.
• Answer questions about the project and direct more specific questions to the appropriate resource.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for construction dust, dirt and airborne contaminants.
• Perform tasks related to flood cutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend shrink wrap training and complete projects containing shrink wrap.
• Develop ability to identify insulation types and R-values.
• Apply skills to Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, acoustical Ceilings, Roofing and Siding.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
• Maintain attention to detail and safety standards.
• Meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding property and customer service.
• Work nights and weekends as required and travel periodically.
• Report time worked and materials used timely.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses.

Qualified Candidate must have extensive carpentry experience and capability of working with little supervision. Candidate must be able to assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and run project autonomously. An Intermediate Carpenter will participate in the development of basic level carpenters.
