Job summary

Quality Labor Management is seeking a motivated and dependable Intermediate Bituminous Mix Laboratory Technician to support an important Florida state agency in Gainesville, Florida. This is an on-site position requiring in-person attendance in the Bituminous Mix Laboratory.

Remote and hybrid work options are not available. The candidate will sample and prepare aggregates, batch and test asphalt, enter data, and maintain equipment in a structured laboratory setting, with growth opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Follow detailed testing procedures.
• Maintain accurate data records.
• Manage multiple work assignments simultaneously.
• Operate a PC and use Microsoft Excel.
• Communicate engineering information effectively.
• Lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sample and prepare aggregates and other materials for asphalt testing.
• Batch and mix asphalt samples.
• Perform ignition oven and gradation testing on samples.
• Perform volumetric testing on asphalt mixtures (bulk specific gravity and maximum specific gravity).
• Perform fine aggregate specific gravity test.
• Perform fine aggregate angularity test.
• Enter test information into the appropriate database.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$17 per hour
