Job summary

New Value Solutions is seeking an Azure Administrator to manage cloud compute, storage, networking, and identity services. This contract opportunity focuses on Entra ID management, VM operations, and resource monitoring to ensure smooth, scalable cloud workloads.

The role requires 2–4 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in Azure, plus knowledge of hybrid cloud, DNS, and basic IaC templates. On-site Phoenix duties apply.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of hybrid cloud setups, TCP/IP networking, DNS, and infrastructure-as-code templates.

Responsibilities

• Identity & Access: Manage user accounts, groups, and RBAC using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Compute & Storage: Deploy, size, and patch Windows and Linux VMs; configure Azure storage and file shares.
• Networking: Configure VNets, subnets, NSGs, and VPN connections.
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and test Azure Backup and Site Recovery policies.
• Monitoring & Cost: Monitor health with Azure Monitor and optimize costs with budgets and alerts.
• Automation: Write basic scripts using PowerShell or Azure CLI to streamline routine deployment tasks.

Key responsibilities include Microsoft Entra ID management, virtual machine operations, and resource monitoring.

Core Responsibilities

• Identity & Access: Manage user accounts, groups, and multi-factor authentication using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Compute & Storage: Deploy, size, and patch Windows and Linux virtual machines, alongside configuring Azure Blob storage, disks, and file shares.
• Networking: Configure virtual networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), and VPN connections.
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and test Azure Backup and Site Recovery policies to ensure business continuity.
• Monitoring & Cost: Track system health with Azure Monitor and optimize spending by managing budgets and alerts.
• Automation: Write basic scripts using PowerShell or Azure CLI to streamline routine deployment tasks.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on IT experience, with at least 2 years focused directly on Microsoft Azure environments.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of hybrid cloud setups, TCP/IP networking, DNS, and basic infrastructure-as-code templates (Bicep or ARM)
