Job summary

W3Global in Los Angeles area is seeking an Intermediate Architect/Designer to join our established practice. You will work on a diverse portfolio including educational, cultural, civic, and commercial spaces, with emphasis on design excellence and technical rigor.

The role demands strong Revit skills, hand drawing ability, and collaboration with consultants through design development to construction documentation. A 5+ year track record and a portfolio are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar architectural role.
  • Experience with architectural services from pre-design through construction documentation and project close-out.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, construction documentation, and building design.
  • Knowledge of building codes, structural and MEP systems, FF&E, construction techniques, and architectural detailing.
  • Experience with project and consultant coordination.
  • Strong design conception and presentation skills.
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and solving problems independently.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
  • Proficiency with Revit for design and coordination.
  • Advanced proficiency with SketchUp, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design development, preparation of drawing sets, and production of project deliverables throughout the design process.
  • Conduct research and develop project materials, including design alternatives and options.
  • Prepare presentation materials, diagrams, renderings, models, and graphics.
  • Produce architectural drawings and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate with consultants, including reviewing drawings and integrating their designs into project documentation.
  • Contribute to projects from pre-design through construction documentation and project close-out.
  • Apply both design and technical expertise throughout the architectural process.
  • Assist with project and consultant coordination.
  • Help identify potential project needs, solve problems, and support design and technical decision-making.
