Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• 3–5 years of consulting engineering and structural design experience.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Registered engineer in a Canadian province is desirable.
• Experience with wind turbine foundations or substation structures is an asset.
• English proficiency (B2–C1) is mandatory; French is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering aspects of renewable energy projects (wind, solar, BESS, substations).
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans and specifications for designs and evaluations.
• Develop wind turbine foundations and solar/battery storage support structures.
• Provide on-site and office construction support (approx. 10% of role).
• Ensure design compliance with engineering standards, codes and QA/QC procedures.
• Utilize finite element modeling software to deliver accurate designs.

This position is within the Renewables market sector of the Energy group. This sector specializes in solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects. We work with public and private clients on innovative projects, allowing our team members to demonstrate their expertise and mentor passionate newcomers.

Your Impact

• Lead structural engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, battery energy storage, and electrical substation projects.

• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, and specifications for the design and evaluation of:

• Wind turbine foundations

• Support structures and foundations for solar farms

• Support structures and foundations for battery energy storage systems

• Support structures and foundations for electrical substation equipment

• Provide construction support services, both office and on-site (approximately 10% of the role).

• Ensure design compliance with relevant engineering standards and codes, as well as internal QA/QC procedures.

• Use finite element modeling software to deliver accurate and efficient designs.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.

• Experience in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting engineering and structural design.

• Registered engineer in one of the Canadian provinces is desirable.

• Experience in designing wind turbine foundations or substation structures (an asset).

• English proficiency (B2-C1) is mandatory

• French proficiency (B2 – C1) is desirable.
