Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) invites applications for an Interlibrary Loan Technician. The role supports daily Interlibrary Services operations, processes borrowing and lending requests, and ensures accuracy of bibliographic data.

You will assist at the Access Services Desk and contribute to a positive user experience. The position is 1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week, temporary for one year.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school education or equivalent and two years of related library and/or clerical experience required.
• Three years of related library and/or clerical experience preferred.
• Experience with interlibrary databases and library management systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process interlibrary loan borrowing and lending requests and verify citations.
• Monitor workflow and adjust student staffing in consultation with the lead.
• Provide desk support and customer service to library users as needed.
