Job summary

R&S Trim Works, LLC in Indianapolis and surrounding areas within 55 miles is looking for a Trim Carpenter Laborer to support lead carpenters in interior finish carpentry on new residential construction.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn, take pride in quality, work safely, and communicate professionally with builders and trades; experience preferred but training provided. This is a full-time, on-site role with potential to advance into senior trim carpenter duties.

Qualifications

• Construction experience preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right individual.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Baseboard, casing, interior doors, window trim, crown molding, closet shelving, stair components, decorative trim and millwork.
• Load, unload, and organize materials and tools.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the direction of a lead carpenter.
• Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Assist with moving materials throughout the jobsite.
• Perform punch-list items and quality touch-ups.
• Follow company installation standards and jobsite procedures.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, builders, and other trades.
• Report damaged materials, safety hazards, or jobsite concerns promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

R&S Trim Works is seeking a hardworking, dependable Trim Carpenter Laborer to join our growing team. This position supports lead carpenters in the installation of high-quality interior finish carpentry in new residential construction. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn the trade, takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a positive attitude, and is committed to working safely and professionally.

Primary Responsibilities

• - Baseboard
• - Casing
• - Interior doors
• - Window trim
• - Crown molding
• - Closet shelving
• - Stair components
• - Decorative trim and millwork
• - Load, unload, and organize materials and tools.
• - Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the direction of a lead carpenter.
• - Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe.

Physical Requirements

• - Work in varying weather conditions and unfinished construction environments.
• - Perform repetitive lifting and overhead work.
