Botanical Designs LLC. seeks an Interior Maintenance Supervisor to partner with the Interior Operations Manager, overseeing indoor plant care, green walls, and atrium landscapes across multiple locations in the Seattle area.

You will supervise field staff, ensure safety, and maintain high-quality service standards. The role requires leadership, strong horticultural knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to manage schedules, materials, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced

  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in horticulture, interior plant maintenance, or commercial landscaping is required.
  • Knowledge of IPM and plant care techniques, pests, and diseases.
  • Must have a valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
  • Current Pesticide License required within first year of employment.

We are passionate about our work and committed to delivering high-quality design and installation services to our clients.Summary Description:The Interior Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to partner with Interior Operations Manager to oversee functions of the Interior Maintenance Department which include supervising field staff and acting as a liaison between customers and Company operations. Provide effective facilitation, delegation, and tracking consistent with the company's mission and policies. Work with Lead Horticulturist to identify and resolve care or training issues.Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Supervise maintenance teams, assigning and delegating responsibilities as appropriate, and in coordination and under the direction of the Operations Manager. Ensure that accountability standards are met.Ensure maintenance team supplied with all materials needed to ensure high-quality care in maintaining indoor plants, green walls, and atrium landscapes efficientlyMonitor and order materials as needed to ensure proper equipment maintenance.Gather information on new sales opportunities and send it to sales staff as a lead.Execute customer service programs consistent with company mission and department standards; this includes proactive quality assurance as assigned, timely and thorough follow-up, and regular contact/meetings with customers.Working with other departments, oversee/generate necessary communications, proposals, billings, and recordkeepingConduct regular quality checks of the cleaning, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and pest control of indoor plantscapes to ensure optimal health and aesthetics.Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is performed securely, aiding when needed to ensure completion of required work tasks.Update all systems daily, weekly, and monthly with pertinent data as required.Ensure security of building and vehicles by coordinating with department managers on daily lock-up tasks, delegating to Interior Department staff as necessary.Respond to and relay employee concerns, partnering with the Operations Manager and other members of management as appropriate to ensure timely communication and follow-through.Participate in the processes of training, and monitoring performance of department staff, including maintaining records consistent with company-wide policies and standards, as needed.Provide back-up assistance in caring for plants when needed, working solitary or with a partner.Enforce hours of operation, lunch and mandatory breaks, and any and all company policies.Work vehicle maintenance:Maintain clean vehicles at all times, ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness.Remove personal items from vehicles daily (lunchboxes, cell phones, garbage, etc.).Adhere to Company maintenance inspection policy.Report any and all accidents (regardless of nature and severity) immediately.Participate in company LEAN activities and maintain areas as assigned.Monitor Aspire, emails, and phone messages throughout workday and respond in a timely manner, always following the company “Sunset Rule” for internal and external communications.Update and utilize Aspire in daily work, keeping accurate and up-to-date records on all accounts.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong knowledge providing leadership in a quality department that is compliant with appropriate safety and environmental practices.Experience in horticulture, interior plant maintenance, or commercial landscaping.Provide consistent leadership, promoting professional standards, good teamwork, empowerment, and open communication.Work to engender trust, honoring confidentialityStrong follow-through, quick decision-making abilities and able to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.Must uphold and promote Interior Department Quality Standards and Company policies.Professional mannerisms, appearance and actions (self-confident and committed to high ethics).Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills:Able to multi-task, maintain focus on several different projects at one time and hit deadlines.Able to be flexible with attention and priority.Able to work in a progressive, fast-paced environment (work well under pressure).Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels. Ability to set priorities and keep to projected schedules.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage change effectively.Computer Skills: Comfortable and effective working in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.Ability to effectively maintain written and computer records.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Other duties as assignedLevel Requirements:Minimum two years’ supervisory experience, including overseeing a workforce in multiple customer locations.Tropical horticultural backgroundKnowledge of interior plant care techniques, pests, and diseasesMust have a valid State Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.Current Pesticide License is required within first year of employment.
