Job summary

The United States Army Reserve is seeking an interior electrician responsible for installing and maintaining Army interior electrical systems. You will read blueprints, position wiring, test circuits, and inspect power distribution to keep installations safe and reliable.

Training consists of Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training. Candidates must meet DoD requirements and ASVAB prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must meet DoD requirements.
• ASVAB Electronics (EL) 93 required or as stated for eligible MOS.

Overview

The interior electrician is primarily responsible for the installation and maintenance for all of the Army’s interior electrical systems.

Training

Job training for interior electrician requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field with on-the-job instructions, including on-the-job instruction for installation and repair.
