Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Eastern Idaho’s Millwork area is hiring an Interior Doors Assembler to join our on-site production team. You will assemble doors and components to meet exact specs, using hand and pneumatic tools in a fast-paced environment.

No prior experience is required; we train motivated candidates who want to learn, grow, and build a career. Teamwork, safety and quality are emphasized across multiple stations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpentry, construction, manufacturing, assembly, or woodworking may help.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trusses according to specifications and production requirements.
• Position and secure lumber and truss components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and manufacturing equipment.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials to exact specifications.
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met and identify defects.
• Operate equipment used in fastening and assembly processes.
• Work at various stations throughout the production process as business needs require.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Assemble trusses according to specifications and production requirements.
• Position and secure lumber and truss components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and manufacturing equipment.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials to exact specifications.
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met and identify any defects.
• Operate equipment used in fastening and assembly processes.
• Work at various stations throughout the production process as business needs require.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpentry, construction, manufacturing, assembly, or woodworking.
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment.

No prior experience is required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequently use hands and arms to grasp, handle, and assemble materials.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance when appropriate.
• Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.

Work Environment

• Exposure to moving machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
• Exposure to dust, vibration, and industrial noise.
• Required use of hearing protection, eye protection, and other PPE.
