Job summary

AECOM is seeking a creative Interior Designer for our Boston, MA office, joining the Buildings + Places team. The role focuses on design development and construction documentation for commercial interiors within a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Interior Design or Architecture, 4+ years of experience, proficiency in Revit and Enscape, NCIDQ/NCARB or ability to obtain, and willingness to travel up to 10–15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture with 4+ years of related interior design experience.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects.
• NCIDQ or NCARB certification (or ability to obtain within 18 months).

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects.
• Analyze issues and propose solutions using established design practices.
• Prepare client-facing presentations and meetings.
• Familiarity with codes, permits, and software related to the discipline.
• Collaborate with junior and senior staff and manage deadlines within budget constraints.
• Understand the construction process including field reviews, RFIs, and change orders.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (10–15%).
