Job summary

Dream Interiors NY is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our Southampton team. You will translate client needs into innovative residential designs, from small renovations to furnishing full homes, ensuring every space is functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

This on-site, part-time role requires proficiency in Chief Architect, Adobe Suite, CAD, SketchUp, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Interior Design minimum.
• Proficiency in design software including Chief Architect, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, SketchUp.
• Understanding of lighting design principles and construction concepts.
• Excellent drafting skills with detailed technical drawings using Chief Architect.
• Willingness to learn new design software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• 3–5 years interior design experience.
• Experience in renovation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

You will work on a variety of residential projects, from small renovations to furnishing full house ensuring that each design is functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for interior spaces.
• Develop comprehensive design concepts that include space planning, color schemes, furniture selection, and material specifications.
• Utilize software such as Chief Architect, Canva , Click up to create detailed design drawings and presentations.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide clients with the best options available.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Interior Design minimum
