Job summary

HKS Chicago is seeking a Design Professional to join our Health Interiors team. You will support project teams with a broad range of developing professional skills, performing basic design and technical tasks under supervision, and contributing creatively to the team.

The role involves revising drawings, preparing implementation document sets, organizing files, and assisting in furniture/FF&E packages, site surveys, and concept development. Strong BIM/visualization skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Revise drawings, presentations and renderings under lead designer.
• Assist with preparation of implementation document sets (interior plans, fixture plans, elevations, details).
• Organizes files, materials and displays.
• Assist in developing and managing furniture and interior fittings packages.
• May complete site surveys, field verification and test fit plans.
• Develop interiors concepts based on client vision, project scope and architectural concept.
• Utilize creative thinking to achieve innovative solutions.
• Conduct research for project team.
• Coordinate with vendors and product manufacturers representatives during finish sample procurement.
• Communicate with other disciplines and contractors to incorporate information.
• Assist with review of RFIs and submittals during Construction Administration.
• Participate in product presentations to stay updated on industry drivers.
