Big Sandy Superstore is seeking an Interior Design Consultant to join our Living Inspired design studio. You will work with clients to create rooms and spaces that reflect lifestyle needs, curating layouts, finishes, and products for both in-store and in-home projects.

The role emphasizes creativity, client collaboration, and the ability to present design concepts clearly. A degree in interior design or related field is preferred, with ASID certification optional. Travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Background in interior design or related field is required or preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating design experience and process knowledge.
• Proficiency with space planning and color coordination is expected.
• Experience using design software such as SketchUp or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Sales experience or ability to work in consultative retail environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized in-home and in-store design consultations
• Create room layouts, mood boards, and product presentations tailored to client preferences
• Guide clients through furniture, rug, lighting, and accessory selections
• Collaborate with merchandising and showroom teams to highlight top design trends
• Help grow the brand through outstanding customer experiences and follow-up
• Full-time, 40-hour weeks with weekends; some evenings and possible holidays
