Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking an experienced Interior Carpenter for an Atlanta project. You will install wall protection, doors, drywall, framing and related components with a focus on quality and safety on a large commercial site. Minimum four years of proven interior carpentry experience is expected.

You will read blueprints, work with ICRA partitions, and collaborate with other trades, while maintaining organized, efficient work practices and reliable transportation to job sites.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with self-perform interior work on large commercial projects.
• Identify and properly use materials, hand and power tools.
• Understand construction terminology and basic math.
• Understand level, plumb, square, area and volume concepts.
• Basic layout experience and attention to safety.
• Willingness to work night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete task hazard analyses (THA) logs daily.
• Plan and execute work with minimum supervision.
• Recognize hazards and danger zones.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Install wall protection and ICRA partitions.
• Install wall accessories, framing, drywall, doors and hardware.
