Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking skilled Interior Carpenters to install wall protection, doors, drywall, framing, wall accessories, ICRA and hardware on a major project.

A minimum of 4 years of interior carpentry experience on large sites is required, with strong carpentry skills and safety focus. Candidates must read blueprints, plan work with limited supervision, and be able to work night shifts if needed.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 years minimum proven interior carpenter experience on large construction sites.
• Identify and use materials, hand, and power tools.
• Understand construction terminology, level, plumb, square, area and volume concepts.

Responsibilities

• Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily.
• Plan and execute work with minimum supervision.
• Recognize hazards and danger zones.
• Actively participate in demo activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Install wall protection and ICRA partitions.
• Install wall accessories, drywall, and framing.
• Install doors and door hardware; set door frames.
• Assist with acoustic ceiling and removable partition installations.
• Support other trades when necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Interior Carpentersfor an exciting project in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will install/set up wall protection, doors, drywall, framing, wall accessories, ICRA, hardware, etc. The ideal candidate has 4 years minimum of proven experience as an interior carpenter in large construction sites and possess excellent carpentry skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily
• Plan and execute work with minimum supervision
• Recognize hazards and danger zones
• Actively participate in demo activities
• Properly read and interpret blueprints
• Install wall protection
• Properly set up ICRA partitions (installation, inspection, and maintenance)
• Install wall accessories
• Wall framing and drywall installation
• Door and door hardware installation
• Safely and properly set door frames
• Assist with acoustic ceiling installation
• Assist with removable partition installation
• Assist other trades when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with self-perform interior work (installing doors, accessories, hardware, wall protection, drywall, framing, etc.) in large commercial projects
• Identify and properly use materials, hand, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
• Understand construction terminology and basic math
• Understand level, plumb, square, area, and volume concepts
• Basic lay out experience (transfer levels, off sets, set points etc.)
• Proven commitment to Safety
• Work in an organized manner
• Able to work night shifts when needed
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Abilityto performheavy lifting/pushing/pulling of materialweighing 50 pounds
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Minimum age 18+
