Archinect is looking for an Interior Architectural Production Designer in New York. This full-time position involves managing 3D models and creating design presentations while collaborating with the design team.

The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in interior architecture and proficiency in Archicad. A hybrid work model is offered, with a minimum of three days per week in-studio. Competitive salary and benefits package included.

Role & Responsibilities

Interior Architectural Production Designers are responsible for drafting & managing 3D models, creating design presentations, and executing interior construction documents. This role spends their time divided between Interior Design & Interior Architecture.

This role works directly with our Director of Interior Design & Director of Interior Architecture on interior tasks.

The typical day-to-day responsibilities for our Interior Architectural Production Designers include:

  • Sourcing, organizing & collaging physical material samples for client and studio library
  • Source & Model Appliances, Plumbing Fixtures, Hardware & Interior Finish Material Selections.
  • Model Furnishings, Specialty Wall Finishes, Closets, Millwork.
  • Visualize Interior Diagrams & Vignettes
  • Creating presentations in InDesign
  • Creating 3D furniture models via Archicad
  • Developing furniture layouts within Archicad
  • Coordinate & Oversee Production of Photorealistic Renderings
  • Coordinate with Consultants & Vendors
  • Effectively working on multiple projects at once under direct supervision and collaboration with Interior Team
  • Integration of Interior Design & Selections with Architectural Construction Documents
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a role as Interior Architectural Designer (or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience working in Archicad or Revit
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and respectfully
  • Ability to work from our Long Island City studio 3 days/wk (minimum)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Highly Desired
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Working knowledge of residential wood-framed construction
  • Experience working in Archicad
  • Strong previous relationships with vendors, trades and consultants
  • Strong Eye for Photography
Employment Details
  • Starting Salary Range $67k - $80k
  • This is a Full-Time position (40 hrs/wk)
  • Hybrid remote/in-person environment with 3 days/wk in-studio
  • Typical working hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm, Mon - Fri
