Overview

Interim Workday Payroll Analyst

Our client, a privately held, PE-backed SaaS company in the health and wellness space, is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Analyst to support a critical payroll systems optimization initiative.

This position is 100% remote, with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone. This engagement has an initial duration of 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension. This role will report to the VP Controller and work closely with the Accounting Team.

Responsibilities
  • Optimize Workday Payroll configurations, including earnings codes, tax setups, costing allocations, and integrations.
  • Support payroll operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations in NetSuite.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities using tools such as RPA, APIs, and reporting dashboards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of payroll and payroll accounting experience, including 2+ years with Workday Payroll configurations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and intercompany transactions.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Proven success in leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
