We have partnered with our client in their search for a Interim Strategic Healthcare Operations Consultant to accelerate high-priority initiatives, address process and technology debt, and improve operational quality, performance, and value delivery. This role is hybrid (Atlanta, GA).

Role Summary

The consultant will provide dedicated project leadership and analytical support for strategic operational initiatives that are difficult to advance alongside the team's day-to-day responsibilities. The initial focus will be on continuum-of-care initiatives and ambulatory operations.

This role will partner closely with operational leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, manage projects, support cost-saving efforts, and enhance access and service experiences. The consultant will also help translate broader enterprise initiatives into practical regional execution plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational improvement projects from planning through implementation.
• Partner with operational leaders to define objectives, workplans, milestones, risks, and measurable outcomes.
• Assess current processes and identify opportunities to reduce process and technology debt.
• Apply process-engineering methods to improve quality, performance, efficiency, and operational consistency.
• Support initiatives related to cost savings, access, and service experience.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform recommendations and decisions.
• Develop executive-ready presentations, storyboards, status updates, and decision materials.
• Facilitate cross-functional stakeholder communication and maintain alignment across project teams.
• Translate enterprise-level initiatives into actionable regional plans when applicable.
• Establish project governance, track deliverables, and communicate risks, dependencies, and progress.
• Support early initiatives involving continuum-of-care processes and ambulatory operations.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in management consulting, internal consulting, or a comparable strategic project environment.
• Strong process-engineering and process-improvement capabilities.
• Proven project management experience, including managing multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deliverables.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing executive-level presentations and using storyboarding to communicate complex information clearly.
• Excellent written, verbal, and cross-functional stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, bring structure to ambiguous initiatives, and move projects from strategy to execution.
• Experience supporting cost, quality, performance, access, or operational-improvement initiatives.
