The teacher will plan and deliver PE instruction, assess student progress, communicate with parents, and collaborate with staff. Immediate start preferred; 200-day schedule applies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares for assigned classes and documents prep upon request of supervisor.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning and discipline.
• Prepares a teaching outline aligned with state and local curricula.
• Instructs students using varied teaching strategies and materials.
• Assigns lessons, corrects papers, and administers tests.
• Records results and tracks student progress.
• Communicates progress to parents as appropriate.
• Keeps attendance and grade records as required by the board.
• Supervises in halls and during assemblies; supports positive behavior.
• Participates in faculty meetings and professional development.
