Job summary

Grant Thornton UK’s Agile Talent Community seeks experienced Interim Financial Accountants for on-demand, project-based roles. You’ll join a flexible network delivering finance consultancy, placements, and advisory support to CFOs across client functions.

You can engage through your own limited company or inside IR35, choosing assignments that fit your skills and portfolio, while enjoying collaborative support from our Agile Talent team.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience working within Industry, in companies with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
• Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
• Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.

Responsibilities

• Take on short- to medium-term projects that sharpen accounting expertise and provide a different angle on familiar challenges.
• Engage with CFO Solutions finance placements to deploy interim professionals into clients’ finance functions.
• Work through engagement options via your own limited company or on inside IR35 terms, offering freedom and flexibility.

Assignment Description

Grant Thornton’s CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients’ finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.
