Job summary

Warbird Healthcare Advisors is seeking an Interim Controller to oversee financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day accounting for an FQHC and PACE program. The role focuses on GAAP reporting, budgeting, audits, and alignment of financials with clinical outcomes.

The position requires 8–10 years in healthcare/nonprofit finance and 3–5 years of management experience, with a bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting (MBA/CPA preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8-10 years of health care and non-profit company finance experience required.
• 3-5 years of management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting: lead all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-/year-end close.
• Prepare and present timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Develop internal financial reporting packages for executive leadership and the Board.
• Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• FQHC & PACE Financial Oversight: ensure compliance with PPS and capitation models; monitor cost reporting and grant/revenue recognition.
• Regulatory Compliance & Audit: maintain HRSA/CMS/state compliance; coordinate annual audits and Single/Uniform Guidance.
• Budgeting & Strategic Planning: lead annual budgeting and financial forecasting; model financial impact of strategic initiatives.
• Leadership & Team Development: supervise accounting staff and promote accountability and collaboration.
