Job summary

GEV Wind Power in Fort Worth, TX seeks an interim Controller/Accounting Manager to oversee accounting, cash management and finance for the North American division (U.S. and Canada). The role is 3-4 months, based at the Fort Worth HQ, Monday–Friday.

You will interface with leadership, manage cash flow forecasting, daily reconciliations, A/R/A/P, monthly close and reporting to the CFO/CEO, with emphasis on GAAP, accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• CPA or CMA a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
• 2+ years of experience in a Management or Supervisory role, preferably as Controller or Accounting Manager.
• Strong analytical and modeling capabilities.
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.
• Proficient in Excel, MS Office and cloud-based databases.
• Experience with Sage and Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with local and Group leadership to ensure accurate and compliant accounting and finance.
• Daily monitoring of cash management, receipts and 13-week cash flow forecasting.
• Perform daily bank reconciliation in conjunction with daily cash flow projections.
• Assist A/R in cash collections, including contacting customers to resolve obstacles to payment.
• Supervise and drive discipline of regular A/R and A/P processes.
• Manage the monthly closing of the financial books.
• Prepare and provide monthly financial statement package, in collaboration with Management Team.
• Conduct regular variance analysis.
• Work with operations to track unbilled revenue (WIP).
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports for CFO, CEO and management team.
• Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting process.
