Job summary

Korn Ferry is assisting in a search for a Remote Interim Compliance Counsel. Location awareness: United States (Remote). This role focuses on advising on U.S.

export controls, trade controls, and sanctions, supporting EAR/ITAR/OFAC compliance, and delivering practical guidance to business stakeholders within the cybersecurity/technology sector. The position requires a J.D. with bar admission and significant experience in export controls, sanctions, and trade compliance, ideally in-house.

Qualifications

• JD required with significant experience in export controls, sanctions and trade compliance.
• In-house or corporate compliance background preferred.
• Experience advising on ITAR/EAR/OFAC is essential.

Skills Required

• Strong U.S. export controls and international trade compliance experience.

• Anti-bribery compliance experience.
• Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical advice to business stakeholders.

Education & Work Experience

• J.D. and relevant bar admission.
• Significant legal experience in export controls, sanctions and trade compliance, ideally within an in-house environment.
