Job summary

Woods Supermarket is seeking an Interim Center Store Manager to oversee all center-store departments, labor, merchandising and gross profit. This role reports to the Assistant Store Manager and requires strong leadership and operations skills.

The interim manager will supervise center store Teammates, coordinate weekly display plans, optimize shelf space, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Able to give/receive complex verbal instructions from supervisors/co-workers.
• Work history showing stability and reliability.
• Basic reading and writing ability; read instructions, labels, codes.
• Make judgments on shelf placement, pricing, staffing, and merchandising plans.
• Good interpersonal communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all center store departments (grocery, frozen, liquor, GM, HBC, dairy).
• Supervise center store Teammates and assist with training.
• Develop weekly end-cap display plans and promotions.
• Allocate shelf space based on movement and profitability.
• Oversee stock, reduce out-of-stocks, and maintain inventory turns.
• Greet guests, answer questions, explain store policies courteously.
• Monitor safety and prevent theft; address hazards promptly.
• Prepare back room for merchandise receipt and unloading.
