Role Description

The Interim Assisted Living Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Holmen, WI. This role oversees daily operations of the assisted living community, including staff leadership, resident care coordination, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. The director is responsible for supervising and coaching team members, managing schedules, and maintaining clear communication with residents, families, and external partners. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring clinical and service standards, ensuring accurate documentation, addressing resident and family concerns, and implementing policies and procedures that support safety and well-being. The Interim Assisted Living Director collaborates with VeriCore and community leadership to stabilize operations, guide change management, and support a smooth transition to permanent leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management skills in assisted living, senior living, or long-term care settings, including team supervision and performance coaching.
• Strong knowledge of state regulations, compliance standards, and best practices related to assisted living and resident care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for working with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Organizational and operational skills, including scheduling, documentation oversight, incident follow-up, and quality improvement processes.
• Ability to make informed clinical and operational decisions in collaboration with nursing and care teams to support resident safety and well-being.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and experience managing change, transitions, or turnaround situations in care environments.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic records commonly used in senior living or healthcare settings.
• Relevant licensure or certification (such as Assisted Living Administrator, RN, or equivalent) as required by Wisconsin regulations, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Preferred: Prior experience as an Assisted Living Director or similar leadership role, and familiarity with consulting or interim leadership engagements.
