Job summary

Cinnaminson Township Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Principal for a long-term leave replacement, anticipated November 23, 2026 to June 30, 2027. The role entails serving as a key member of the administrative team, supporting the principal in academic leadership, operations, and student well-being.

The successful candidate will work to improve teaching and learning, manage discipline, and communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate is required.
• Minimum of five years teaching experience is preferred.
• Administrative or school leadership experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated instructional leadership and ability to support student achievement.
• Knowledge of student discipline, school climate, and student support practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an administrative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal with daily leadership and operations.
• Serve as an instructional leader to support teaching and student achievement.
• Supervise and evaluate instructional and support staff as assigned.
• Manage student discipline and promote a positive climate.
• Support initiatives related to attendance, behavior, academics, and well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to address student needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community members.
• Assist with safety, security, emergency preparedness, arrival/dismissal, and supervision.
• Oversee events and duties outside the regular school day as assigned.
• Assist with BOE policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Participate in meetings, PD, and district committees.
