Job summary

Sheridan Memorial invites an Interim Assistant Director of Nursing to join our Critical Access Hospital. The role supports the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing Nursing Services while guiding clinical staff and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include scheduling, day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The position requires Montana RN licensure and leadership capabilities in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in MT required.
• 2+ years nursing supervisor/administrative exp preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and admin skills to meet goals.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred or required within timeframe.
• TNCC certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Nursing in planning, organizing and directing Nursing Services for the Critical Access Hospital.
• Coordinate day-to-day nursing and clinical support staff and staff scheduling.
• Ensure services meet federal, state and local standards and regulations.

Interim Assistant Director of Nursing – Long Term Care

About this role:
Assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, coordinating and directing Nursing Services for the Critical Access Hospital while maintaining high-quality patient care. Assists in managing the day-to-day nursing and clinical support staff. Will assist in maintaining the schedule of the staff. Will assist in providing services in accordance with current, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs.

What we are looking for:

• Must be licensed as an RN in the State of Montana.


• Prefer at least two (2) years in a Nursing supervisor or administrative position.


• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and administrative skills to achieve organizational goals.


• Strong computer skills required.


• Must be highly motivated, dependable, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


• Current BLS (AHA or equivalent); ACLS and/or PALS preferred or required within a defined timeframe for hospital settings.


• TNCC certification required within one year of hire.
