Job summary

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Maryland seeks a program manager to provide technical leadership across the full acquisition life cycle, from concept development through production and in-service engineering support.

You will shape system architecture, pursue commonality, and chart growth plans within the constraints of the acquisition process, while guiding the IPT leader to meet program goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical management throughout the acquisition process from concept to production and during service use.
• Support navigation requirements, systems integration efforts, and technical leadership for enhanced use of equipment.
• Assist the IPT leader in developing goals, objectives, and strategies to meet program requirements.
• Define the system architecture, plan for commonality, and growth within acquisition constraints.
• Develop and maintain area cognizance over assigned systems, performance specs, interfaces, and related documents.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide technical management throughout the acquisition process from concept formulation through production, and for engineering support during service use.
• You will support navigation and related requirements, systems integration efforts, and technical leadership for enhanced usage of these equipment capabilities.
• You will assist the IPT leader in the development of goals, objectives, and strategies to meet program requirements.
• You will define the system architecture, the concept for commonality, and the plan to meet future growth requirements within the context and constraints of the acquisition process.
• You will develop and maintain area cognizance over assigned systems, their performance specification, interface requirements documents, statements of work, technical directives and other technical documentations.
