Job summary

The Garrett Group, Inc. seeks an Interagency Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support USSTRATCOM in planning, developing, executing and analyzing joint exercises and wargames.

Responsibilities include developing plans and milestones, coordinating conferences (POA&M, planning conferences, MSEL synchronization), and creating exercise injects to meet training objectives. Prior interagency experience and DoD context are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with U.S. Government Interagency functions and processes.
• Experience analyzing and synthesizing interagency outputs to support training objectives.
• Desirable prior work with non-DoD agencies (State, Justice, DHS, FEMA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, execution and analysis of joint exercises and wargames.
• Develop MOA/Milestones plans and track key actions and deliverables.
• Develop Master Scenario Events and exercise injects to meet training objectives.
• Prepare, publish and archive Joint Exercise documents as directed by lead planner and Branch Chief.

Description

The Garrett Group is seeking an Interagency Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support USSTRATCOM in planning, developing, executing and analyzing joint exercises and wargames.

Candidates will be expected to:

• A ssist in the development, coordination, and management of the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and track key actions and deliverables
• Assist with the planning and development of Concept Development Conferences, Initial Planning Conferences, Mid-planning Conferences, Final Planning Conferences, and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Synchronization Conferences.
• Develop Master Scenario Events and exercise injects to accomplish training objectives
• Prepare, publish, distribute, and archive Joint Exercise documents as determined by the joint exercise or wargame lead planner and Branch Chief

Required Experience

• Interagency SMEs must have at least 7 years of experience working with U.S. Government Interagency functions and processes, or:
  • At least 5 years' hands-on experience analyzing and synthesizing multiple interagency products such as reports, meeting minutes, speech transcripts, social media injects, and press releases in order to create a realistic environment for the achievement of training objectives within exercises and wargames.
• Prior experience with a non-DoD government agency such as the State Department, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, etc. is highly desirable.
