Job summary

Qualifications

• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.

Located at Northside Hospital Forsyth, this role supports a 24-bed ICU, delivering high-quality care to a diverse population of critically ill patients.

Performs history and physical examinations and carries out appropriate intervention/procedures as determined by the plan of care. Coordinates care of assigned patients according to Northside Hospital established Standards of Care.

Provides high quality services under supervision and direction of the sponsoring physician(s) to critical care patients in the hospital.

Responsibilities include:

patient assessment of new admissions, routine patient assessment in the ICU and the assessment of patients experiencing a change in clinical status; admission history and physicals; complete appropriate chart documentation to include orders, progress notes, procedures, outcomes and plan of care; ordering and reviewing of diagnostic, radiographic and laboratory tests; medication management; mechanical ventilation management; assisting, performing and supervising invasive procedures; and participating in multidisciplinary rounds with the critical care team.

Required

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Successful completion of an accredited Masters of Science in Nursing Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program OR Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Current certification by an approved certifying organization (i.e. National Certification Board of PNP, National Certification, National Certification Corporation, American Nurses Credentialing Center…) for critical care OR Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
