Job summary

Job Description

The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking two full time Intensive Instructional Assistants (IIAs) who are energetic and love working and playing with children. The IIA position's purpose is to develop and interpret individual needs of students with disabilities by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs in consultation with the special educator and teachers.

Currently this assignment will be at Lyndon Town School and is based on student needs. The IIAs provide observable student data that meet the IEP Program or EST goals of students with disabilities. Position will target goal-directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner.

Candidates must successfully complete the ParaPro assessment or higher degree. Background check, including fingerprinting required upon employment. The pay range for this position is currently $20.85/hr.-$26.96/hr.

Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
