Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Manufacturing Planning/Industrial Engineering professional to optimize capacity, scheduling, and flow in the fab. You will work closely with production control and automation teams to ensure the right balance between throughput and variability.

You will analyze data from tools, coordinate daily activities of Manufacturing Specialists, and lead a team to meet production targets while adapting to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Knowledge of optimization algorithms and IE/IT-related areas.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and teach a team.

Responsibilities

• Understand manufacturing science concepts (TOC, capacity planning, flow optimization).
• Coordinate core factory infrastructure with production control and execution systems.
• Analyze data to optimize equipment and process flow.
• Develop or maintain scheduling systems to hit capacity targets and reduce variability.
• Respond to changing priorities and manage overlapping projects.
• Establish planning capabilities to maximize fab capability to meet customer demand.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure robotic workstations and tools meet standards.
• Manage daily activities for Manufacturing Specialists to meet goals.

Job Description

1. Possessing strong understanding manufacturing science (Theory of constraints, Capacity planning, and flow optimization)
2. Ensuring that the core infrastructure of the factory can cooperate with the production control and execution systems to meet production needs
3. Collecting and performing data analysis of tools and dispatching logic to ensure the equipment and process flow is running at optimum level
4. Creating or maintaining an effective scheduling system that can provide decision-making logic to enable the fab to achieve production capacity targets while improving the operation control capability of the fab and significantly reduce variability
5. Responding quickly to change priorities and handle multiple projects with potentially overlapping deadlines
6. Establishing effective planning capabilities to maximize fab capabilities to meet customers’ requirements.
7. Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure that robotic workstations, detection instruments, and database/informatics tools meet standards and goals Managing all members and building team spirit through involvement and effective communication
8. Managing and coordinating daily activities for Manufacturing Specialists to ensure production goals are met

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

• A minimum of a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Industrial Management,Mechanical and Automation Engineering or related fields.
• Demonstrated knowledge of optimization algorithm, IE, IT, or related fields is required.
• Enthusiasm and dedication with the ability to motivate, lead, and teach a team.
• The ability to be a team player who can multitask and thrive in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.
