We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional development officer to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for delivering, teaching, and facilitating courses to meet all course and Customer learning objectives. TTIs monitor student progress during course delivery and provide feedback to the Customer. TTIs support development of new or modification of existing courses in coordination with Technical Instructional Systems Designers, as approved by the Customer. TTIs often serve as Subject Matter Experts using professional and technical experiences to engage and teach adult learners. The work will include:

  • Creating lesson plans, conducting training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs
  • Instructing intelligence professionals on tradecraft
  • Developing and/or refining curricula to meet evolving customer training needs, establishing course content and objectives
  • Enhancing student competencies in course-specific technical intelligence disciplines
  • Evaluating student performance and making recommendations for improvement
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience delivering content for adult learners
  • Demonstrated experience tailoring communications and facilitating discussions among small and large groups of people with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to adapt specialized training to real world scenarios
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, to team effectively, regularly work out side your comfort zone, and to adapt to emerging technologies and evolving requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment and partnering across Sponsor offices and mission centers/directorates
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues (e.g. equipment, systems, networks, computer operations, etc.) without supervision
  • Demonstrated skills to explain technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Ability to travel TDY in CONUS
  • Understanding of design, operations, or maintenance of infrastructure systems such as internet, cellular, commercial, or satellite systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, science or 5 or more years of experience with Customer as a staff employee or contractor, supporting mission in any of the following areas: Technical Research, Development and Engineering or Technical Operations
Desired Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of experience providing training with the Customer
  • Certificate in Training, Facilitation, Teaching, and/or Learning from a professional organization (e.g. Foundations in Teaching and Learning offered by Udemy)
  • Extensive experience with the Customer supporting multiple missions
  • Experience with the Customer supporting more than one area of technical expertise (Targeting, Technical Operations, or Technical Research, Development or Engineering)
  • Adult learning experience teaching technical courses using a broad range of delivery modalities (synchronous, asynchronous, instructor led, web-based training, virtual training and/or blended courses)
  • Experience technical targeting in more than one Customer line of business
  • Familiarity with geospatial and imagery tools and related IC capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Customer and Technical Targeting Analyst role and enabling technical operations and engineering developments through the delivery of related intelligence

A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
