Job summary

Agile Defense in Rosslyn, VA is seeking an Intelligence Production Editor to enhance the consistency and quality of intelligence products for a federal law enforcement client’s Open Source Intelligence Program focused on detecting threats.

You will conduct detailed edits to elevate analytic rigor, collaborate with analysts and leadership, and help drive improvements in production standards and training to strengthen writing and analytic skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience or 8+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Proven experience editing intelligence products or reports with analytic rigor and adherence to standards.
• Background in intelligence production with experience in technical editing for clarity and consistency.
• Strong writing and editing abilities to improve short and long-form intelligence products.
• High interpersonal and diplomatic skills to interact with all levels professionally.
• Highly collaborative with ability to engage in discussions and improve products through team input.
• Proven ability to meet production deadlines while managing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Intelligence Product Editing: Conduct technical and substantive edits to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
• Production Standards Oversight: Ensure production standards are consistently applied across all intelligence products.
• Enhance Analytical Rigor: Review and refine products for accuracy, logical flow, and depth.
• Training Support: Develop and implement training modules to improve production standards and writing skills.
• Collaborative Feedback: Provide constructive feedback with leadership to refine intelligence products.
• Support Long-Term Improvements: Identify areas for better production standards and methodologies.
