Job summary

Amentum is seeking Desk Officers to support our Client's challenging operational requirements at multiple locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Ideal candidates are inquisitive, investigative and action-oriented with the ability to take initiative and deliver solutions to complex operational problems, while identifying new technical tools and capabilities.

Successful candidates are able to deal effectively and confidently with customer managers at all levels of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph at the time of application.
• Familiarity with cable writing and classified databases, including specific targeting tools.
• Strong briefing and writing skills as well as the ability to work well with teams or individually with minimal supervision.
• Regional and/or functional expertise in a geographic region of interest.
• Initiative, creativity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter who can multi-task and remain calm under pressure with the ability to work both independently and in a group.
• Prior experience in supporting intelligence operations or familiarity with the Intelligence Community and its objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide objective reviews of ongoing and potential operations.
• Serve as the vital link between field personnel and the Intelligence Community.
• Oversee program management from traditional operational activities to specialized initiatives.
• Translate customer needs into actionable intelligence guidance and operational plans.
