Job summary

Omniscius Consulting seeks an Intelligence Analyst to support a Homeland Security customer in Springfield, VA. The role requires on-site participation, strong analytical and communication skills, and a TS clearance. Telework is available after alignment with task orders.

The candidate should have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, expertise in deep web analysis, and the ability to brief executives with clear, actionable findings while complying with intelligence oversight policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Experience communicating for senior government officials; ability to produce concise briefs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for daily operations with staff and leadership.
  • Maintain an on-site presence to manage day-to-day tasking; limited telework allowed.
  • Participate in security threat assessments and other vetting activities.
  • Coordinate reach-back to subject-matter experts via the contractor's knowledge base.
  • Demonstrate eight+ years of experience across the listed domains.
  • Apply big data analytics and network analysis techniques to support investigations.
  • Produce written assessments and summaries for executives and senior leaders.
  • Understand privacy, authorities, and oversight procedures governing intelligence work.

Job description

Our client is seeking candidates for an Intelligence Analyst role to support a Homeland Security customer in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site support to participate in daily operations, ensuring continuous collaboration with the staff and leadership
  • Provide a sustained, on-site presence capable of accepting and managing day-to-day tasking’s as part of the team; routine telework is available once a candidate understands overall task order requirements
  • Participate in establishment activities, security threat assessments and other vetting activities as needed
  • Facilitate reach-back to subject matter expertise within the contractor’s corporate knowledge base as needed
  • Possess more than eight (8) years of experience in the following areas below.
  • Expertise with information technology tools analyzing the deep web to determine transportation links
  • All source intelligence analysis and writing in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives and standards
  • Non attribution and mis-attribution concepts and techniques to provide operational security (OPSEC)
  • The government Watch listing process to include, TIDE, the Terrorist Screening Dataset (TSDS), and DHS Watch listing mechanisms such as the Watch listing Framework (WLF)
  • Big data analytics to include ability to perform network analysis.
  • Ability to perform team lead/program management related duties such as tasking and summarization of work into material for executives and senior leaders.
  • Expert knowledge with identity resolution concepts and techniques
  • Expertise with vetting and security threat assessments of insider threats
  • Expertise in publicly available social media, the deep web, and other non-conventional data sources
  • Ability to independently produce written assessments, graphic representations (in Analyst’s Notebook or like capability) of findings, source documentation, and summary briefings in response to tasking
  • Understanding of laws, authorities, key policies and procedures, as well as the privacy and intelligence oversight authorities and procedures
  • Proven ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels in a team environment and develop solutions to complex problems
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • A candidate with an active Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills, to include presentation development for senior ranking Government officials
  • Experience and comfort working through problems with unclear outcomes, creative thinking and problem solving, with an orientation toward results
