Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Analyst in Seattle to conduct rapid risk assessments, engage in OSINT investigations, and provide actionable solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic environments, bringing exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. This role supports business continuity during security incidents and requires strong collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities include collecting complex data, producing tactical assessments, and identifying innovative solutions. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience along with confidentiality management skills are preferred.

In this role, you will produce rapid risk assessments, conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigations, and translate complex customer requirements into scalable, actionable solutions. You will leverage OSINT and tradecraft to uncover emerging threats, and develop strategic products that help customers anticipate risks and look around the corner.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands critical thinking, deep-dive analysis, and the ability to manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail. They bring a genuine passion for delighting customers, collaborating across teams, and continuously raising the bar - always seeking opportunities to refine processes, close gaps, and deliver more impactful products.

Key job responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data with a strong understanding and application of analytical techniques.
  • Proactively identify and analyze relevant threats and trends and produce written strategic analysis, oral briefs, and tactical/investigative assessments in a cohesive and concise format to serve customers across business lines.
  • Engage with internal customers to understand their priorities and translate the requirements into solutions.
  • Identify new solutions, methodologies, including using AI, to help improve information collection and reporting. Including the creation of maps or other visuals and tools to support the team's deliverables.
  • Perform thorough quick-turn and deep dive open-source investigations and monitoring.
  • Support business continuity, crisis, and security management teams, including as needed outside typical work hours during security incidents and emerging crises.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with open source investigation techniques
  • Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military
  • OSINT certifications or equivalent training
  • Experience with the intelligence cycle and Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIR) development
  • 3+ years in intelligence, investigative, or analytical discipline

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
