Northwest Animal Hospital in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking an Associate Veterinarian with an interest in holistic and integrative medicine. Join a team dedicated to combining traditional medicine with whole-patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree required and state licensure.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation.
• Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; assisted lifting beyond 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injury.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counseling on pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with ethics and regulations.
