Job summary

Arsenal AI is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Integrations Engineer to design and scale integrations between EHR systems and external partners for a healthcare technology platform. This contract-to-hire role is remote (U.S.) with a W2 full-time commitment on the client team.

You will develop RESTful APIs and Go services, work in a cloud-native AWS environment, and mentor others while driving reliable, scalable integration architecture.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production ownership of a backend service.
• Proficiency in a statically typed backend language — Go, Java, C#, or Kotlin.
• Experience with distributed systems and API design — building APIs, not only consuming them.
• Experience running containerized services in a major cloud — AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong system design fundamentals and working knowledge of a relational database.

About the Role

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Senior Integrations Engineer to join a high-impact team building enterprise integrations for a fast-growing healthcare technology platform. You design and scale the connections between Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and external partners — the infrastructure that moves patient data securely between providers.

This is a contract-to-hire role. You join as a W2 employee of Arsenal AI working full-time on the client's engineering team, with a path to convert to a full-time role with the client based on performance and business need.

Required Skills

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2-5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production ownership of a backend service


• Proficiency in a statically typed backend language — Go, Java, C#, or Kotlin. We prefer Go experience but do not require it. Strong engineers coming from a comparable language are productive in Go within a few weeks.


• Experience with distributed systems and API design — building APIs, not only consuming them


• Experience running containerized services in a major cloud — AWS, GCP, or Azure. This team runs on AWS, and prior AWS experience is not required.


• Strong system design fundamentals and working knowledge of a relational database

Preferred Skills

• Healthcare interoperability experience (HL7, FHIR, EHR platforms) is a strong plus, not a requirement
