Job summary

SpaceX in Woodinville, WA is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to own test software, test equipment, and integrated testing of electrical and network systems for Starlink Aviation.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to design and validate high‑reliability enterprise network solutions and support testing across propulsion, thermal, and avionics interfaces.

Qualifications

Integration & Test Engineer (Starlink Aviation)

As an Integration & Test Engineer supporting our enterprise aviation customers, you will own test software, test equipment, and integrated testing of electrical and network systems. You will be a technical resource for engineering, specialist, and technician colleagues, and will develop, validate, and maintain high‑reliability, high‑performing enterprise network solutions for Starlink.

Responsibilities

• Design, activate, and operate test hardware and equipment, including test software, to evaluate component and system performance for various mobility network applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in real time, coordinating with owners to eliminate repeat problems.
• Assist in investigations and root‑cause analysis of non‑conformances and collaborate with engineers to develop test requirements for flight hardware, driving hardware, and system design improvements.
• Work with cross‑disciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, software) to conceptualize and develop test systems for Starlink hardware.
• Create and modify software applications to run data acquisition and control systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing (internships/co‑ops and club projects may apply).

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems.
• Experience working with composites and integration of avionics systems.
• Documentation and configuration management experience.
• Experience writing test plans and procedures, and providing go/no‑go judgment and rationale.
• Experience in a production environment.
• Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity.

Additional Requirements

• Travel to launch sites may be required, up to 25% of the time.
• Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range:
Level 1: $100,000.00 – $117,500.00
Level 2: $115,000.00 – $140,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis, taking into account job‑related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary is one part of the total rewards package, which may also include long‑term incentives (company stock or cash awards), discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
