Job description

About Gravitics

At Gravitics, we're not exploring space—we're building it. We're creating the infrastructure for a thriving space economy, enabling humanity to flourish beyond Earth. Our vision is bold, but we're not just dreamers; we're doers. We design and manufacture large-scale orbital structures that enable commercial operations while meeting the requirements of defense and government missions.

Our systems are built to scale and built to last—bridging commercial innovation with mission‑critical performance. If you're ready to lay the foundations for a new era in space, embrace a culture of relentless learning and innovation, and contribute to a future where humanity's reach extends farther, Gravitics is the place for you. Let's build the future together.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Integration & Test Engineer to support the assembly, integration, and verification of large space structures and flight hardware. You’ll work closely with design engineering, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure hardware is integrated safely, correctly, and efficiently. This role spans both hands‑on support on the build floor and technical development of test procedures, system checkouts, and integrated operations.

As an Integration & Test Engineer, you’ll help define test setups, support mechanical/electrical/fluid system bring‑up, resolve integration issues, and ensure hardware meets flight‑ready requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Support mechanical, electrical, and fluid system integration for flight and ground hardware
  • Develop, refine, and execute test procedures for subsystem and system‑level tests
  • Support functional checkouts, leak checks, pressure tests, electrical continuity tests, and integrated system operations
  • Drive preparation of test equipment, ground support equipment (GSE), sensors, and instrumentation
  • Assist in diagnosing integration issues and support corrective actions with engineering and technicians
  • Review engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and interface control documents (ICDs)
  • Ensure hardware is integrated in compliance with safety standards, configuration control, and quality requirements
  • Support test data review, anomaly documentation, and issue tracking
  • Participate in lifting, mating, and alignment operations for large assemblies
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, design, quality, and operations teams during build‑to‑test handoffs
  • Contribute to improvements of integration processes, test methods, and test documentation
About You

You enjoy working at the intersection of engineering design and real hardware. You’re hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable supporting fast‑paced operations on the build and test floor. You can troubleshoot unexpected issues with a systematic approach, communicate clearly, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. You respect procedure but are not afraid to recommend improvements.

Required Attributes
  • 3–5+ years of experience in integration, testing, or systems‑focused engineering
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, or fluid system assembly or checkout
  • Familiarity with test execution involving pressure systems, electrical systems, or avionics
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and fluid schematics
  • Experience writing or executing test procedures
  • Strong problem‑solving skills using first‑principles and hands‑on troubleshooting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or related engineering field
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs and work around large hardware
  • Willingness to work evenings/weekends or travel occasionally to support critical operations
  • This role will support programs for U.S. Government customers, including national security and defense-related missions. Candidates must be willing to work on Civil, Commercial, and Defense-related projects.
Bonus Points for
  • Experience with integration or test of spacecraft, launch vehicles, aircraft, or other high‑reliability systems
  • Familiarity with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock, pressure, EMI/EMC)
  • Experience with leak testing, pressure systems, hazardous operations, or GN2/He/propellant systems
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience developing work instructions or supporting technicians during integration
  • Experience in safety‑critical or configuration‑controlled environments
  • Experience performing hands‑on mechanical or electrical assembly
Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year. Your level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.

Salary is just one component of the total employee package, which also includes company equity at an exciting time of company growth, as well as comprehensive medical, 401(k) retirement plan, a generous PTO policy, employee discounts, and more.

ITAR Requirements
