Team Overview

GP’s Software Engineering & Integration team designs, builds, delivers, and maintains custom software solutions and integrations. The team is focused on creating reusable functionality, partnering with business analysts, delivery leaders, and quality engineers to deliver profitable business outcomes at the right speed.

What You Will Do
  • Design, govern, and evolve how systems connect across the enterprise, ensuring integrations are scalable, secure, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Partner with business, product managers, domain architects, and functional leads to design and deliver efficient integration solutions.
  • Select the right integration platform and patterns for each use case.
  • Review existing architecture designs across enterprise integration to identify gaps, risks, and technical debt, and propose redesigns where needed.
  • Own technical decision-making for application integration and B2B integration (EDI), guiding the team through complex issues and clearing blockers.
  • Utilize strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, communicating effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Challenge the status quo and focus on long‑term value when designing solutions.
  • Collaborate with various IT teams such as infrastructure support, networking, database administrators, and business teams to support the end‑to‑end SDLC.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience translating enterprise integration strategy into technical direction that simplifies platforms and aligns EDI, API, and event‑driven integrations with long‑term architectural goals.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining AWS‑based cloud platforms, including security, networking, observability, and cost optimization.
  • Experience overseeing large, complex integration platform ecosystems, providing architectural guidance while identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience applying best practices for API management and integration patterns, handling error logging, and working with XML, JSON, and EDI formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
  • Experience maintaining EDI/B2B platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, Axway, OpenText) with upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
  • Experience identifying high‑value AI use cases, assessing readiness, and designing AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring technical leads and engineers, influencing design decisions, and empowering teams to operate autonomously.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or a related field.
  • Experience modernizing integration platforms while maintaining production stability.
  • Experience operating EDI platforms at large partner scale with complex connectivity and security requirements.
  • Experience implementing connections to various data sources using protocols such as JDBC, HTTPS, LDAP, JMS, SFTP, FTPS, EDIINT AS2, OData, and VAN‑based connectivity.
  • Experience working with common EDI business transaction sets (Purchase Orders, Invoices, Advance Ship Notices, Shipping Notices, Functional Acknowledgments).
  • Experience with streaming platforms like Kinesis, Kafka, and NATS.
  • Experience enabling and scaling AI adoption by exposing integration through reusable, well‑governed integrations, APIs, and event streams.
