Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking an Integration Engineer Intermediate to design, implement, and support integrations across clinical and administrative systems. You will ensure HL7 interfaces work with HIS/EMR workflows and IT infrastructure, collaborating across teams to optimize data exchange.

The role requires experience with HL7, interface engines, and healthcare data integration within complex IT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of Bachelor's, an Associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
• 3–4 years working with HL7 and interface engine technologies.
• 3–4 years building and supporting HIS/EMR interfaces (ADT, billing, lab, radiology, devices).
• 3–4 years in healthcare integration environments.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the evaluation of existing systems' integration requirements to ensure that solutions meet organizational needs.
• Designs and develops data transformation processes required to support integration between different systems.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves testing issues before launching a solution.
• Prepares functional and technical documentation, such as testing procedures and schedules, data architecture mappings, and application reports.
• Monitors integrated applications' performance, making recommendations to optimize processes when possible.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Integration Engineer Intermediate develops and implements solutions for integrating software, hardware, or other systems across different parts of the organization. This position performs administrative and technical procedures on information systems and covers multiple functional areas (systems design, systems and network administration, programmer/analyst, and information technology support). Working under some supervision, this role focuses on ensuring that applications function seamlessly with business processes, organization data, and IT infrastructure.

Essential Job Function:

• Participates in the evaluation of existing systems' integration requirements to ensure that solutions meet organizational needs.
