Job summary

Signet Jewelers Limited is seeking an Integration Engineer III to design, develop, test, and support scalable integrations using MuleSoft and AWS in a hybrid Dallas, TX or Akron, OH setting. You will translate business requirements into secure integration solutions across cloud and enterprise apps.

The role requires 5+ years in AWS cloud environments, API design experience, and hands-on work with microservices and serverless architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience. Certifications a plus.
• 5+ years related experience in AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with REST/SOAP services, API design, integration patterns, and JSON/XML formats.
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication/authorization, logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices and serverless solutions using AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable integrations using MuleSoft and AWS.
• Enhance MuleSoft integrations and ensure secure connectivity between AWS, MuleSoft, and enterprise apps.
• Perform unit and integration testing and document results.
• Monitor and troubleshoot integrations; perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, application teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

The position partners with architects, application teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle while supporting production stability and continuous improvement.Major Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsSystem ImplementationDesign, Develop and integrate cloud-based solutions using appropriate AWS services and implement secure, scalable connectivity between AWS, MuleSoft, and enterprise applicationsEnhances MuleSoft Integrations for Minor changesPartner with Cross Functional Technical teams as needed for Integration Development & TestingPerform unit and systems Integrations testing and document the resultsEnforce standards and methodologies that pertain to quality, consistency, and accuracy of project design, development, testing and implementation.Participate in technical walkthroughs to validate design.Operational ManagementMonitor and troubleshoot MuleSoft and AWS integrations, analyze production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve performance and reliability.Work with system owners to debug production issues in lower environmentsDemonstrate the post go live features to various stake holders.Position QualificationsFormal Education & CertificationBachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.Certifications a plusQualifications & Experience5+ years related experience.Experience developing and integrating solutions in AWS cloud environmentsExperience with Data contracts, Service layer and Pub / Sub models along with transformation and consumptionDemonstrated knowledge of REST/SOAP services, API design, integration patterns, and JSON/XML data formats.Strong understanding of API security, authentication/authorization, error handling, logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.Experience developing event-driven and serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.Experience implementing logging, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting using Amazon CloudWatch and related observability capabilities.Experience with AWS CI/CD and infrastructure automation; familiarity with CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudFormation, and/or Terraform preferred.Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.Retail, SAP Hybris, Sterling Order Management or similar exposure is requiredExposure to AI in relation to Development / Coding is a plusHands-on experience developing microservices, REST APIs, and integration services using Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, and/or Python. Proficiency in at least one language is required; experience with multiple languages is preferredExplore and implement AI-enabled integration capabilities and developer automation using AWS AI services and approved AI development platforms, as applicable
